Where in the world ART thou??

May 29, 2021June 27, 2021 / Elisa Uhrynowski / Leave a comment

clipground.com I consider myself a creative person. I love anything to do with the arts; drawing, painting, photography, writing, the theater and music. I honestly cannot think of anything I don't like about the arts! I am not talented in music or theater, but I do appreciate it. Participating in various artistic and creative forms … Continue reading Where in the world ART thou??

Found on Pinterest. Bonnie is a quilter and blogger and can be found on Quiltville.com The following post popped up in my Facebook memories. I suppose this was the beginning of my writings for my blog, which I originally published in August 2020. The sentiments I share still hold strong. I will add that as … Continue reading Memorial Day Memory 2020

The Art of Doing Nothing

May 17, 2021May 16, 2021 / Elisa Uhrynowski / Leave a comment

I have recently come across several posts and discussions regarding the art of doing nothing. Stillness. Quiet. I am not referring to meditation, although that is a good practice to center yourself. This aspect of doing nothing is just as it says... spending time not doing anything. Remember as kids we would go outside and … Continue reading The Art of Doing Nothing

Wellness Journey Update May 16

It's been a few weeks since I updated everyone on my progress. Unfortunately, two people in my life recently died and I have been somewhat distracted to write. First, the woman I was helping/caring for passed away towards the end of April. It was a sad time for me as I've been with her for … Continue reading Wellness Journey Update May 16

The characters are brothers who are very close, have a falling out, eventually reconcile and everyone lives happily ever after. The movie was a flop and there wasn’t much depth. Probably … Continue reading Love, Love, Love

A little bass drum love.
Congratulations to @shs_marchinggaels winter percussion for having a fantastic @musicalartsconference home show on March 18th and placing 2nd in their category!! The seniors were also recognized and celebrated. It won’t be the same without them next year😞.
Can’t wait for Saturday when the @shs_marchinggaels are on their home turf!!!
Happy International Women’s Day!!!!
In a little than less than 2 weeks, the SHS Marching Gaels are hosting their annual Sights and Sounds of Shelton event, a competition of winter percussion and winter guard.
I can’t say how proud I am of these kids today. They won 2nd place in their class up against New Milford, Westhill, and Maloney. They can only go up!!!
